Loves Is Better! The 5 Love Languages Applied To Agriculture

Yes, I have found a new application of the concept of “The 5 Love Languages[1]” by Gary Chapman, Baptist pastor and international counselor. I’m a Roman Catholic, but love is love, and I say 5 Loves is much better!

Friday midnight, I had a dream, and the one-word message was Love – I had to love all that I am writing about. So I wanted to look at All of Agriculture with new eyes. That explains the image above (sun-heart image[2] by glopphy, CanStock Photo), and my brand-new blog: Loves Is Better! where you are reading this.

I am a farmer’s son and an Agriculturist, UP '65. My love is clear and consistent – how else can you explain that I have written and blogged at least 5,000,000 (million) words in the last 13 years, how to do it and how to think about it, since 2007?

Last night’s lesson: I have to love all the parts of PH Agriculture. So now I will use “The 5 Love Languages,” as follows:

1, Words of Affirmation
2, Quality Time
3, Acts Of Service
4, Gifts
5, Touch.

Love is Words of Affirmation – Today, I blog every single day; last year, Leap Year, that was 366 essays of 517 words each blogged daily, 189,222 words total. Words of affirmation of my love for PH Agriculture. I am inspired, especially that I do not see any PH columnist or journalist endorsing or favorably commenting on agriculture as seen through the eyes of Secretary of Agriculture William Dar.

Love is Quality Time – When I write, you can hardly distract me from my love of PH Agriculture; I pay attention to it fully.

Love is Acts of Service – My acts of service are those that either correct wrong assumptions about or point out unfollowed instructions from higher authorities, from Secretary Dar. If any communicator misunderstands him, or contradicts him, I do not hesitate to correct the wrong notions, without being obvious, or obnoxious.

Love is Gifts – What gifts have I given PH Agriculture? An entirely original concept I call Theory of Communication for Development, ComDev. (For more, see my blog https://comdevfah.blogspot.com.) I’m also thinking of publishing a monthly magazine.

Love is Touch – Because I write to give more light to PH agriculture, I am the Sun. My rays touch the farmers and fields, crops and livestock, water and wind, living and dead matters. I touch them all; I love them all.

I may have changed my address, URL, with a new blog, but not my love for PH Agriculture. Here’s a love metaphor –  “How Do I Love Thee? Let Me Count The Ways” from Elizabeth Barrett Browning:

How do I love thee? Let me count the ways.
I love thee to the depth and breadth and height
My soul can reach, when feeling out of sight
For the ends of being and ideal grace.

For me, Agriculture is not a Profession – it’s a Love. And my love is for always. Especially, I know my beloved needs more love from more people!@LIBs
